Cyanotype Prints

A Cyanotype is an early form of photographic process that produces an image with a blue tone. Join artist collective LA VACA cicleta, in using the sun, and natural elements in making a cyanotype, also known as a "Sun Print."

Grupo Folklorico de West Los Angeles brings together Mexican Folklorico groups from California and beyond, to study and celebrate the music, dance, history, and costumes of Mexico, passing down the love for Folklorico and Danza Azteca to the community.

Native Instruments

Mexico’s traditional (folkloric) musical instruments encompass a diverse range of materials including flutes made of clay, bamboo and metal. Native musician, Lazaro Arvisu will share his collection of instruments through playing and storytelling.

In this hands-on workshop with Camera Obscura Artist-in-Residence Cheyenne Green, explore the beauty of natural materials like flower petals, acorns, and other foraged textures alongside oil pastels. Patchouli Nomad

Artist Maribel Reveles (aka) Patchouli Nomad, is known for her fun, funky and colorful creations. Inspired by nature, music and culture, she uses upcycled fabrics to create dolls, clothing, and works of art, using her creativity as a tool for healing and therapy.
